Built for UK trades

The job's not the hard bit. The money is.

You're good at the work. It's the day-rate maths, the merchant spend and the taxman that eat you alive. Braw does that bit — so you don't have to.

  • Read-only bank access
  • Not a bank · no lending

The problem

You're up a ladder, down a hole, in a toilet, covered in shite — and you still have to check how much you made on the last job. That's what Braw is for. He does it for every job. He will tell you — you don't even need to ask.

The help you get from your accountant

Braw
You're up a ladder, covered in shite — and still guessing what that job made.

Blunt when it counts. Funny when it can.

Built for trades

Built for the way your head works.

You shouldn't need to remember. Braw remembers.

Half the trade puts off the invoices, the VAT, the "I'll sort it Sunday" that never comes. Braw doesn't nag and doesn't need you to file anything — it watches the bank and tells you what matters, when it matters. No forms. No catch-up. No Sunday-night dread.

How to use

Do it once. Get it forever.

  1. 01

    Connect bank

Read-only. No lending. No funny business. Then go back to the job.

  2. 02

    Braw's sorting it

Day rate. Job profit. Merchant league table. Subscriptions that quietly rob you.

  3. 03

    You get told

Know what to quote next — and when MTD hits, filing rides along as a by-product.

One hook-up. Then Braw does the boring bit — forever.

Making Tax Digital

MTD is coming whether you like it or not. Be prepared.

HMRC wants your books digital and quarterly. Most apps sell you a spreadsheet with a logo. Braw already knows your numbers from the bank — so filing rides shotgun. Profit truth first. Tax as a by-product.

Pretty much everyone. No hiding in a shoebox.

Don't buy a tax app. Talk to Braw.

Connect the bank once. We track what you earn, what you spend, and what a day costs. When it's time to file, the boring MTD bit is already half done — because we were watching for profit, not for HMRC.

  • Quarterly filing without living in a ledger
  • Tax-pot warnings before January ruins you
  • Same bank feed that prices your jobs

Keep more of your money.

Xero, FreeAgent, Coconut — they sell compliance and it's boring and hard to understand. We make it easy to understand and tell you where your numbers are going: what your day actually costs, and whether that quote was a laugh.

Not a bank. No lending. No VC theatre. Built small, profitable, and independent — for people who work with their hands.

Pricing

£9 a month. Or £1,200 a year for a shrug.

Your accountant charges the best part of £1,200 a year — and does a grand job of telling you what you owe the taxman. What they never tell you: that your day rate's been underwater since 2024, that the Tuesday job lost money, or that your "quick pop-in" to Screwfix has a season ticket.

Braw's £9 a month. That's not a typo, and it's not a trial that mugs you later.

£9/mo

The lot

Real day rate, job profit, merchant league, diesel watchdog — the works.

£14/mo

Add MTD filing

When the taxman comes knocking. One tap, sent, done.

£99/yr

Pay up front

While the boilers are paying — sorted till next winter. Cheaper than three months of dithering.

One under-priced job costs you more than a year of Braw. Most lads find the first one in week one.

Not instead of your accountant. Braw does your prices. They do your tax. Nobody's job is at risk here — except the losing quote you keep repeating.

FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Is my bank data safe? What can you actually see?

Braw uses read-only Open Banking — the same FCA-regulated rails your accountant's software already uses. We can see your transactions. We cannot move a penny, set up a payment, or touch your money. Disconnect any time, one tap. That's the whole deal.

So you're a bank?

No. We don't hold your money, we don't lend, there's no card, no crypto, none of that. Braw reads the numbers and tells you the truth about them. Your money stays exactly where it is.

Isn't this just another tax app like Xero or Coconut?

No. Those sell you compliance — what you owe HMRC — and leave you to work out if you're actually making money. Braw does the opposite: what your day really costs, what each job made, where the money leaks. Tax filing comes along later as a by-product, not the main event.

Do I still need my accountant?

Keep them. They do your tax; Braw does your prices — two different jobs. Braw just means you turn up to your accountant with the boring bit already sorted, instead of a shoebox of receipts.

Does it tell me what to charge?

Braw won't pluck a number out of thin air — it shows you what your day costs and what each job made, so you can price with your eyes open instead of guessing off a mental list that's two years stale. The truth, not a magic number.

I'm rubbish with admin and I put everything off. Will I actually use it?

That's the point. Braw doesn't need you to file anything, tag anything or remember anything. You connect the bank once, then it watches and tells you what matters — you don't even have to ask. No forms, no Sunday-night catch-up.

What does it cost?

£9 a month for the lot. £14 a month if you want MTD tax filing added. Or £99 for the year if you'd rather pay up front while the work's flowing. One under-priced job costs you more than that.

When can I actually get it?

We're starting with heating and plumbing, then electricians. Join the list and you'll be first in — early birds get a year free for helping us build it right.

What's with the name?

Braw's Scottish for good, proper, sound. It's also who you're talking to — pick your agent, set how much cheek you want. Bad news always gets the straight voice.

Do you sell my data or shove ads at me?

No. You're the customer, not the product — that's what the £9 is for. Your numbers are yours.
